Content Management Taskforce

Welcome to the Content Management Taskforce (CMT) wiki page. The CMT is a group which has been tasked with several important RoR modding and administrative duties.

History

The CMT was created on the 6th of September 2009 during a meeting of important members. The founding members were donoteat, Betzi, and Isaac.Eiland.Hall. Isaac.Eiland.Hall was then banned. Since then, the membership has expanded to over four members with the addition of Fat-Alfie and kitteh.

Purpose

The CMT provides the following services to the RoR community.

• Determining which content makes it into each release cycle.
• Making sure said content works properly.
• Replacing old beat-up default content with flashy new default content.
• Providing mesh-creation resources for coders who need meshes for new features.
• Adding new content to the game where content is lacking. Not so much vehicles as objects, small loads, etc. etc.
• Implementing vehicle quality standards for inclusion into release versions.
• Creating content which improves playability.

Projects

• Replacement of default vehicles with flexbody versions.
• Replacement of default scenery with new scenery
• New "official terrain"
• Balancing out different vehicle types. (i.e. adding a lot more boats.)
